New gastrointestinal resource centre now available on AboutKidsHealth

AboutKidsHealth has recently launched a new resource centre on gastrointestinal disorders.

Created with the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, the resource centre features more than 60 articles to help patients and families understand the conditions that can affect the liver, pancreas and gastrointestinal system (esophagus, stomach and intestines).

The centre currently covers a broad range of common and complex conditions, including:

  • GERD
  • constipation
  • celiac disease
  • pancreatitis
  • hepatitis
  • inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).  

It also provides information on diagnostic procedures and treatment options and will soon feature a section on nutritional disorders.
