CHEO has some exciting leadership opportunities, and I would be grateful if you would spread among your networks.
The positions are:

The Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) and the Ottawa Children’s Treatment Centre (OCTC). amalgamated as of October 2016, with a commitment to deliver an improved child youth and family experience across traditional hospital-based services and community services.
CHEO-OCTC is a pediatric health and research center, and one of only a few stand-alone pediatric hospitals in Canada, providing outstanding family-centered patient care, pioneering breakthrough research, and acts as an academic health science center training the health care professionals of tomorrow. CHEO-OCTC has been part of our community for many years. It has established itself as a world-class centre providing leading-edge treatment and compassionate care for children and youth aged 0 to young adulthood. Our large service area includes not only Ottawa, but also Eastern Ontario, Western Quebec, Nunavut and parts of Northern Ontario. CHEO-OCTC strives to help children and youth in our region reach their full potential. We do this by creating opportunities and maximizing independence through the vast array of flexible programs and services we offer. Staff provide strategies, support, specialized learning environments, and access to adaptive technology for children and youth with physical or behavioural challenges, disabilities, and accompanying developmental difficulties. Due to the upcoming retirement of the incumbent Director, we are seeking a strong insightful leader to fill the key role of Director, Development and Rehabilitation

Every year, CHEO helps more than 500,000 children and youth from Eastern Ontario, Western Quebec, Nunavut and Northern Ontario. In the last 5 years CHEO has integrated with the Ottawa Children’s Treatment Centre, become one of only 8 fully digitized hospitals in Canada, and been recognized by Forbes Magazine as the top health care employer in the country (2016 and 2017). And going forward, CHEO has ambitious plans to realize our visions for a more integrated child and youth health system that delivers on our vision for the best life for children and youth.
As we set out to implement our brand new strategic plan, CHEO is seeking its first General Counsel to deliver the guidance, leadership and sound legal advice necessary to support our continued growth. Reporting to the Vice President, People, Strategy & Performance, and providing legal advice directly to the Board of Directors and the President & CEO, the incumbent will design, establish and lead CHEO’s first internal legal services function. Leading a small team but working collaboratively with partners from across the entire organization, the General Counsel will promote the highest standards of legal services through the development and continuous improvement of policies, procedures and programs in areas of health and privacy law, contracts execution and management, and corporate governance.
