Manager, Member Engagement
(Reports to Associate Director, Strategy & Engagement)
Overall job purpose
The Manager, Member Engagement plays a critical role engaging Children’s Healthcare Canada’s valued members, leading several high visibility events and initiatives on behalf of the Association. Specifically, this role will have overall responsibility for planning, promotion, execution and evaluation of face to face and virtual events hosted by or in partnership with Children’s Healthcare Canada. This role will also coordinate weekly webinars hosted by Children’s Healthcare Canada, as well as manage other special projects as they arise.
Lead the planning, promotion, execution and evaluation of all major Children’s Healthcare Canada events including, but not limited to:
The Annual Conference (Fall)
Strategy-driven Ad Hoc Events
With respect to conference and events, responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Lead site selection/contract management (hotel space, food & beverage, A/V, etc)
Lead implementation of registration processes
Lead onsite logistics (signage, hotel liaison, etc)
Collaborate with the Associate Director, Business Development to identify and secure events sponsor (develop sponsorship prospectus, collaborate to identify event sponsors, manage sponsor activities on site, etc)
Collaborate with the Communications Strategist to support marketing and promotions for the events
For Annual Event, lead content development in partnership w CEO, Associate Director, Strategy and Engagement and Conference Advisory Committee
For Annual Event, manage the Conference Advisory Committee calls (agenda development, chair calls, develop action lists)
Evaluate event success and prepare report
Working closely in partnership with the Sr. Manager, Knowledge Mobilization, lead the scheduling, preparation and evaluation of weekly Spark: Live webinar series.
Serve as the liaison to the newly formed Child Health Hubs, coordinating with their respective Chairs to facilitate ad hoc virtual meetings.

Minimum education required: Community college diploma in Event Management, or related field.
Project management courses an asset
Minimum experience required: 3-5 years
Other Comments: While the Manager, Member Engagement ultimately reports to the Associate Director, Strategy and Engagement, as a member on a small team, the successful candidate will be required to collaborate with colleagues across the organization to successfully execute on defined responsibilities. Most notably, this position will work closely with the Communications Specialist, the Sr Manager, Knowledge Mobilization and the Associate Director, Business Development.
