Dr. Christine Chambers, Scientific Director of Solutions for Kids in Pain (SKIP), named Scientific Director of the CIHR Institute of Human Development, Child and Youth Health

August 26, 2019, Ottawa  – Children’s Healthcare Canada and the Pediatric Chairs of Canada wish to congratulate Dr. Christine Chambers on her appointment as Scientific Director of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Institute of Human Development, Child and Youth Health (IHDCYH).

Children’s Healthcare Canada is a national association that represents health care delivery organizations who serve children and youth. Membership includes all sixteen children’s hospitals across Canada, as well as rehabilitation and children’s treatment centres, large community hospitals, regional and provincial health authorities, and home care and respite provider agencies.

The Pediatric Chairs of Canada is the national network of academic leaders in pediatric medicine. Membership includes all seventeen pediatric department chairs. Children’s Healthcare Canada proudly partners with Dr. Christine Chambers in her capacity as Scientific Director of Solutions For Kids in Pain,  a knowledge mobilization network funded by the Networks of Centres of Excellence (NCE) to improve children’s pain management in Canada. Dr. Chambers is internationally recognized for her role improving awareness of and access to pediatric pain research. Her award winning work spans research, training, knowledge translation and advocacy to affect real change.
